Set 2 and set 3
A few years ago, I worked on a fascinating project — creating a series of icon illustrations for the indie game *Magic Alchemy*. The main goal was to design concepts for alchemical bottles with a wide variety of contents: from shimmering elixirs to tinctures filled with goblin innards, each one meant to radiate magic and mystery.
Maximum variety was essential — not just in the potion’s composition, but also in the bottle’s shape, design, and intricate details: corks, neck wrappings, bases, labels, and more. For each of the 10 potions per level, we created up to 16 unique variations — just for the wrappings alone. The same potion could appear in many different forms.
In the end, we built a whole arsenal of visual solutions. To showcase this work, I’ve put together a collage demonstrating how a single potion type transforms with different decorative elements. I hope you find it as captivating as I found the process of creating it.
Enjoy!
